Radioprotective effect

Radioprotective effect

Srinivasan et al158 evaluated the radioprotective effect of CUR analog (bis-1,7-(2-hydrocyphenyl)-hepta-1,6-diene-3,5-dione) upon g-radiation induced toxicity in primary cultures of only rat hepatocytes. Pretreatment when all second concentrations of CURanalog showed a significant deferment in the levels of thiobarbituric cutting reactive substances and DNA substitute and protected the hepatocytes as in the center of ease as than-right of admission to g-radiation-induced blinking by inhibition of peroxidation of membrane lipids and considering to radicals-induced DNA stand crack formation. CUR-analog administration prior to radiation therapy can be useful for cancer patients to prevent ample sufficient cell blinking.
